Counseling

Counseling services are available to students when they are experiencing difficulties related to school functioning, social relationships or family issues. Students are referred by teachers or parents or may refer themselves. The Counselor consults with Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Mental Health practitioners and other professionals who work with our students.

The Counseling Department also provides behavioral support in conjunction with the Children’s Health Council Behavioral Management program whose staff work on our campus with referred students, their teachers and families. Personalized behavior support plans are designed and implemented at school and home to assist students whose behavior impedes their ability to learn and grow.
