School Activities
Stanbridge Academy provides a variety of extra-curricular activities throughout the academic year and summer months to supplement our academic and social skills program. Since families are an integral part of our Stanbridge community, we have many events that allow our students and their families to come together including the fall Welcome Back Family Picnic and our Hoedown, an annual friend-raising event. High school students have several holiday-themed dances a year, and elementary and middle school students participate in a variety of fun holiday activities such as the Haunted House for Halloween and the Food and Craft Fair for the winter holidays. The entire school comes together every year for both our annual Field Day of games and sporting events and Stanbridge Spirit Week.
After school “clubs” are offered each semester based on student interests and staff talent! A variety of clubs have been offered including: Stage Improvisation, Film Making, Script Writing, School Newspaper, Yugio & Magic Cards Club, Nintendo Club, Math Club, Running Club, Music Band, Pottery Making, Computer Lab, Drawing Club and Fit Club. Clubs vary each semester, although several are offered consistently throughout the year.
Stanbridge Academy offers its students a robust summer school program that focuses on building social and life skills, as well as providing a means of increasing skills in academics, sportsmanship, and the arts. More detailed information about our summer program is given in the Programs section of our web site.
