Hello and welcome to another edition of The Bridge. Another short week here at Stanbridge, with an even shorter one on the horizon. As we prepare for Thanksgiving Break, this week's edition of The Bridge is relatively short as well: This past Wednesday's SPA meeting was highlighted by a special panel of visiting representatives from local colleges. The panel discussed various options and college programs available to students after graduating from Stanbridge. Future plans are obviously weighing on the minds of students as well as parents, so our high school juniors and seniors were invited to listen to the speakers as well. Pam has more about the event in her SPA Spot this week, but overall it was a very informative and well-attended event. Feedback has been positive and I thank Meagan Cameron and Julie Hamilton for helping to coordinate this event.
As noted, Thanksgiving is coming up and Stanbridge will be on break Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Before everyone goes home on Tuesday to start their extended holiday, we will be having two special Thanksgiving-themed events. First, we will be holding our annual "Turkey Bingo" game on Tuesday afternoon. All students (and staff) play along for prizes and it is a fun way to get everyone together before break. Secondly, we will be finishing our Thanksgiving Food Drive by delivering all collected goods to a local food bank. I encourage all students to bring in a canned good or non-perishable food item on Monday or Tuesday and participate in this community service event. It is a simple, easy thing to do that truly makes a difference and students in all divisions can participate.
Looking ahead on the calendar, we have the Book Fair coming up at the end of the month and our Family Giving Tree in December. And in just over a month, we'll be set to go on Holiday Break. This time of year is when the days start to fly by, so we can give thanks for a week during which things were relatively peaceful, routine, and calm at school.

Have a great weekend!
