Being at Stanbridge has been the majority of my education experience before my college years. I’ve improved, if not learned, much of my knowledge and many of my academic skills at Stanbridge. There are also many things I’ve only done at Stanbridge and not at any of my other schools, such as community service, overnight trips and after-school clubs. Those things also include the more general, like transitioning between classes and writing essays. In my first year at Stanbridge, I learned how to use a binder to carry all my items and use a planner to keep track of homework, and I’ve been keeping my school work well organized ever since then. Nowadays, I like to get my homework done as fast as I can so that it’s out of the way. My skills have really helped me during my years at Stanbridge, so they will definitely help me in college!
I’d like to thank my parents for finding a great school for me. I’d thank the staff members at the school for making a great school exist. I thank the teachers for bringing to me some great new knowledge. And I’m glad that every day I’ve been surrounded by students with whom I had the potential to become friends. I’ve actually done a lot of cool things with my peers in the past. If I mention specific people, I’ll mention Matt Juul for teaching me the great math skills I have, Jay Huston for teaching me the amazing science to which I can apply those math skills, Daniel for being a great friend with interests similar to mine, and my mom for helping with the school and also being the first person who ever mentioned Stanbridge to me. You’ve all been some great people!
UC Berkeley is one of the colleges to which I’ve applied. It’s close and has a cool history. I was really excited when I heard that Berkeley had accepted me. It’s a huge accomplishment for a Stanbridge student. When I start my next year, I will start living in a dorm, using skills I’ve learned. I hope I’ll be able to become independent and have a family. For my job, I’m interested in architecture, because I like coming up with my own designs and think I could apply my math skills to my designs. I think it would be fun to design houses and other structures. I’m also into computer related jobs, because I can use my skills to create websites, programs and even games. I can’t wait for the time of my life in which I can make my imagination a reality as fast as I can!
