On Thursday, April 26, this year's Common Ground Speaker Series will conclude with a one-night-only presentation: "The Art of Imperfect Parenting" by Ayelet Waldman. Below is a brief bio on Ms. Waldman and information on her Bay Area appearance.
Get ready for a fun, inspirational evening celebrating parenthood with novelist Ayelet Waldman. Ms. Waldman is a refreshingly candid commentator on the feat of juggling marriage, children and career. She and her husband, novelist Michael Chabon, are a dual career couple with four children. Ms. Waldman, a graduate of Harvard Law School, is author of seven “Mommy Track” mysteries, three novels and the New York Times bestseller, Bad Mother: A Chronicle of Maternal Crimes, Minor Calamities and Occasional Moments of Grace. Note: This is the final event in the 2011-2012 Common Ground Speaker Series.

A reminder that this year's High School Prom is Friday, April 27th from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. in Hayden Hall. Students must purchase their prom tickets in advance, $30 from the Main Office. The deadline for buying tickets is Tuesday, April 24th. Full details on this year's Prom, including how you can help volunteer to set-up, are in our Parent Portal's SPA Spot.
High School 9th, 10th and 11th graders will be taking their spring experiential trip May 7-10 and May 15-18 (the students will be divided into two groups). This year's spring trip involves going to Sausalito and Angel Island on a kayaking adventure. Details about the trip, along with a packing list and permission forms, are available on our Forms page.

This month's Stanbridge Parent Association (SPA) meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 18th, at 8:30 a.m. in Hayden Hall. All Stanbridge parents and guardians are invited to attend the penultimate SPA meeting of this school year.
Also, the high school seniors will depart for their spring experiential trip tomorrow morning. Students are reminded to bring their bags and a bag lunch with them to school. Details of the trip, along with an updated itinerary and packing list, have been posted to our Forms page.
