Hello and welcome to another edition of The Bridge. It was a short week of school for students, thanks to conferences on Thursday and Friday. Of course, students eased-into the long weekend with our Halloween festivities on Wednesday afternoon. As usual, we had a fantastic array of costumes on display and this year we had a special treat as David Hopper led the Stanbridge chorus in a concert of Halloween-themed songs. Camille is uploading all of the pictures from our Halloween events, including last week's dance, and Chris will post them on the website's photo gallery next week. In the meantime, be sure to stop by the galleries to view newly-added photos from the seniors' trip to Yosemite and last week's "Giants Day" at Stanbridge. We've also added photos of the high school art class watercolor paintings online. The paintings are currently on display in Hayden Hall, but if you can't stop by to see them in person, click over to the online Student Art Gallery.
Not much to report as we head into November: Remember that Tuesday is Election Day, so be sure to get out and vote. Also on Tuesday, junior high and high school students will have an afternoon assembly on "Overcoming Life's Challenges," presented by Molly Burke. You can read more about Ms. Burke and her inspiring story on the Me to We website. If you'd like to attend the presentation, it will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room. Looking ahead, please note that next Monday, November 12th is a day off because of Veterans Day. James Warren is planning a special event for our veteran teachers and we'll have more information on that next week. Finally, remember that this Sunday, November 4th is Daylight Savings--turn your clocks back one hour.
Pam has highlights from this week's community service projects on her SPA Spot page, and there are November calendar updates and notes on the Annual Fund posted on The Bridge mainpage, so be sure to click over.
Have a great weekend!
