This Friday, October 7th, Stanbridge is offering a community service opportunity to volunteer at the B.O.K. Ranch in Woodside. Participating students should meet at Stanbridge by 8:30 a.m. Carpools will leave promptly at 8:30 to arrive at the ranch by 9:30. Links to the B.O.K. Lots going on at Stanbridge this Friday, Sept. 30:
Michael Pritchard, an acclaimed speaker and lecturer, will be returning to Stanbridge on Friday, Sept. 30 to give a presentation on anti-bullying. All Stanbridge students will attend the event, which will be held in the Multipurpose Room. The presentation will be split into two segments--one for the elementary students and one for the junior high and high school students. Times are below; all parents and guardians are welcome to attend.
Elementary presentation: 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.
JH and HS presentation: 10:30 to 11:45 a.m.
LUNCHTIME BAKE SALE
Student Government will be holding a Bake Sale for all students during lunchtime tomorrow. Items cost $1 each and proceeds go to the student activities fund.
AFTERSCHOOL MOVIE FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
This Friday, high school students are invited to stay after school for a SPA-sponsored trip to the movies. Students will meet in Hayden Hall at 3:10 and walk (with parent chaperones) to the Century 12 theaters in San Mateo. Students will see the new release "Moneyball," which was filmed in and around Oakland. The group will see the 4:00 p.m. screening, which will end at approximately 6:15. Interested students should bring $20 for tickets and snacks and must make arrangements to be picked-up (or take the train) after the show.
HOEDOWN SET-UP BEGINS: VOLUNTEERS & RAFFLE PRIZES STILL WELCOME
Set-up begins this Friday afternoon for the annual Stanbridge Hoedown, which will be held on Sunday, October 2nd from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. You can still sign-up to assist with set-up or clean-up on Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday. BASKETBALL SIGN-UP DEADLINE
Registration to join the Bulldogs Basketball team is open for all junior high and high school students. The season will run from October 24 through February. Practices will be held after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 3:15 to 4:30, and Saturday mornings from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. For more information or to sign-up your student, contact Mark Kelley by Friday, September 30th.

COMMUNITY SERVICE SIGN-UP FORMS DUE
Stanbridge will kick-off the 2011-2012 community service program with a trip to the BOK Ranch in Woodside on Friday, Oct. 7. Deadline for turning-in the registration and release forms is Friday. Specifics on the Stanbridge trip and necessary forms are located on our Forms page.
