Attention Stanbridge students, parents, and guardians interested in participating in a community service activity: The City of San Mateo is sponsoring a Bayfront & Creek Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 21. Volunteers will pick up debris and litter along the Bayfront Trail, Marina Lagoon, and Tidelands Park. Events like this demonstrate how serious our community is about keeping our Bay healthy. The event runs from 8:00 a.m. to noon, with a "Thank You" BBQ to follow. Registration runs from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in Ryder Park and participants are asked to complete an official Volunteer Application. That form, along with complete details regarding the event, can be found on the City of San Mateo website. This is a great way for students to get involved with the local community and enjoy some outdoor activities. For more information, talk to Maggie in the main office.
