High School Halloween Dance
The first dance of the school year will be held tomorrow night, Oct. 28, from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. in Hayden Hall. The permission form is available on our Forms page and must be returned by Friday morning. This is a free dance for Stanbridge high school students and it will have a Halloween theme. Many of the students wear costumes, but some students choose to not dress up. The dance will include a professional DJ with great music, free food and drinks and lots of Halloween decorations. Students are allowed to invite two friends from outside of Stanbridge (guest information must be included on the permission form). This dance is exclusively for high school students; students cannot invite junior high students to the dance. A group of teachers and parents will be on hand as chaperones.
The deadline for scheduling your parent-teacher conference is Tuesday, Nov. 1. This year, Fall Conferences will be held on Thursday, November 3rd and Friday, November 4th between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. To schedule a block of time for conferences, please fill-out the Conference Request Form on our Forms page; additional details there.
Annual Fund Pledge Week
Tomorrow is the last day of Pledge Week for the Annual Fund. You can drop-off a pledge card and/or donation in the Main Office, or simply visit our website's Annual Fund donation page to fill-out an online pledge form. All families are encouraged to participate in the Annual Fund Campaign and give what they can–great or small. Students whose families have pledged or donated by Friday, October 28, will be entered into a raffle for a class party of their choice to be hosted by the Stanbridge Board. We're all in this together, so pledge this week and help make a difference!
Permission Forms for next week's Community Service activities
On November 3rd and 4th, Stanbridge students will not be in school due to first quarter conferences. We have organized volunteer community service activities for students on both days. On Thursday, November 3, students will have the opportunity to volunteer at Glide Memorial and on Friday, November 4, we have organized a service activity at the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA. Details of both events and the necessary permission forms are located on our Forms webpage. Space is limited for these events and permission forms are due ASAP.
Finally, tomorrow is Friday and that means the weekly Student Government Bake Sale will be up and running at lunch time. Items cost $1 each and proceeds go to the student activities fund. To help get you in the mood, check out our Video Gallery for a clip of James Warren singing "The Bake Sale Song."
