Bridge to Job Skills and Independent LivingEach year, a number of Stanbridge graduates choose to enter into school-based programs in California and all around the nation with the intention of learning job skills, independent living skills, and earning an AA or Certificate. Many of these programs offer Associate's degrees in areas such as Veterinary Tech, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, and Food Services to name just a few. Each of the schools and programs listed below have their own unique personalities, niches, and philosophies. Below are some programs Stanbridge graduates have seen success in.

Foothill College: Transition to Work program
Foothill College in Los Altos offers a unique and very fantastic program for students who would like to remain in an academic setting while learning essential job and independent living skills. In 12-month Transition to Work program, a cohort of 15 students will take personal development, job skill, job search, and on-the-job training courses. In order to be considered for this program, students must have a disability verified by a licensed, certified, and credentialed professional. Stanbridge recommends that all psycho-educational testing and paperwork related to disabilities be completed no later than November of the application year. This is a very competitive program so it is of the utmost importance that all paperwork be organized and complete prior to application deadlines. OPTIONS Program at Brehm
OPTIONS at Brehm in Carbondale, Illinois is a program designed to introduce students to a wide range of skills needed for either a college transition track placement or the vocational Certificate of Completion track. OPTIONS also offers special services such as Speech and Language, Driver's Education, as well as jobs and internships, where students can receive job readiness training and experience. In addition, OPTIONS supports students who wish to enter into local community colleges to earn AA degrees.
Riverview School
The Riverview School in Cape Cod is a co-educational, boarding school that services 180 students ages 11–19 in the middle and secondary program, and ages 18–22 in the post-secondary program (GROW) with a five-week summer option. The school has several licensed speech and language pathologists on staff and considers itself a "safe, supportive, structure family school" appropriate for students with more moderate LDs. The program offers an academic setting where students are encouraged to become involved in activities such as dances, Student Government, and sports. This is a nurturing learning environment designed to help students make a smooth transition into group or independent living as adults.
Job placement through regional training centers
Some Stanbridge graduates qualify for Regional Center assistance with job placement and Transition services through the county.
