Description: The High School Elective, Applied Digital Skills, is a flexible course that intends to offers students an introduction to Digital Design and Digital Photography, with the flexibility to offer instruction in other Applied Digital Skills. In this class students will learn the basic principles and design, especially as it pertains to Graphic Design and Photography. We begin the course by gaining a strong foundation in design principles and the elements of design that are used to create effective designs. After working through and becoming comfortable with the aforementioned principles, students will have the opportunity to apply their skills by creating logos, documents, and websites. In addition to classroom instruction students will use a variety of digital tools and mediums to enhance instruction.

In order to foster greater student independence, Stanbridge does not provide parents with student log-in information.

- Analyze a problem and identify the design elements that can solve it.
- Apply graphic design principles to achieve a goal.
Executive Functioning Support
In order to support long term planning, organization, and work completion, the following procedures are in place:
- Classwork is assigned on Google Classroom.
- Classroom routines and procedures are explained and reinforced each class period.
- Each student establishes individual short-term and long term goals to be accomplished during this school year.
- Assignments include clear, step by step instructions and a timeline for completion.
- Specific skills are practiced daily during class.
- Students are allowed opportunities to improve their grades by correcting quizzes and tests.

Attendance Expectations
- Have parent email teacher, Linda, and student's Advisor when you are going to be absent.
