The Annual Fund connects all of us

The photo above was taken at the start of the 2019–2020 school year...and we hope to have an opportunity later this year to pose for a long-awaited, updated all-school photo. Covid restrictions made that impossible , but now that our students and staff are back at school—full-time and in-person—we look forward to celebrating the year ahead together again.

Despite the challenges of getting through the pandemic, Stanbridge continually found ways to deliver on the promise of our mission: For students who learn differently to thrive and develop their academic, social, and emotional capabilities to their fullest potential. It has not been easy during these unprecedented times, which is why we are asking the broader Stanbridge community to ensure that our students can continue to grow and thrive.

The success of this year’s Annual Fund campaign is vital to all aspects of our program—faculty and facilities, classroom curriculum and enrichment opportunities, the arts and athletics programs, our financial aid capacity, and more. The impact is immense, helping to keep our community connected throughout the challenges that Covid has presented:

  • Technology purchased through Annual Fund contributions ensured that we could keep our students connected to their classmates and teachers throughout Covid closures. More than just tools for distance-learning, tech equipment and software provided means to maintain community through online afterschool enrichment, virtual counseling and social learning sessions, parent support groups, and all-school virtual events on Zoom like our holiday concerts and high school dance parties.

  • Bringing students back on campus last year was only possible thanks to significant facility upgrades. Installing classroom air purifiers, exhaust fans, sanitation stations, and outdoor shade structures are just some of the improvement projects realized through Annual Fund support that allowed us to safely reopen our campus as soon as we had the opportunity to do so.

  • The Annual Fund helps to provide a lifeline in the form of financial aid for a number of Stanbridge families severely impacted by the pandemic. Some of our current parents explicitly stated that they would be unable to access the Stanbridge program for their children without tuition assistance—the Annual Fund is a critical component to ensure we can provide financial relief to those who need it most.

More than ever and in so many other ways, the Annual Fund has made it possible for the Stanbridge community to stay connected, and if these past few years have taught us anything, it is the importance of connection.

The strength of that connection has gotten us through so much over the past two years, and now that we are back together again, we look forward to the possibilities and potential in the year ahead. We appreciate your participation in joining us on this journey. Thank you for being part of our community. Stay safe and, as always...Stay Strong, Bulldogs!
