Stanbridge Academy Parking Lot Repave
They paved us a new parking lot...it's paradise!
Last spring, Stanbridge applied for and received a generous grant from the Bothin Foundation to help fund a much-needed resurfacing of our front parking lot. How needed was this repaving project? After digging-up the old pavement, the foreman estimated that the lot was last paved at least 50 years ago because of the materials used. Though Covid restrictions delayed the start of the project from last year's Spring Break to this past fall's Thanksgiving holiday, the work was completed in a matter of days, and the results speak for themselves. We now have a front lot that is much safer, smoother, and aesthetically pleasing. See for yourselves the before, during, and after—Ward took the photos in the slideshow, and also put together the short film below which documents the full project. Our sincere thanks to Black Bear Paving and Grading, Inc. for their work, the Bothin Foundation for their financial assistance, and to our community of donors whose support ensured this project finished smoothly. |
