Creating Pop-Up Books and Field Testing Them

Some of our clever (and brave) Design Engineering students took their completed, thoughtfully created books to our Upper Elementary classroom. These fun stories were a joy to behold with pull tabs, accordion folds, hidden flaps, and MORE! The tales they told were as unique as the author/artists themselves and the audience was completely engaged, delighted, and intrigued by the product as well as the process.

The older students shared information about their research and invited questions from the audience after the readings. When the reviews came in they were all around stellar. GREAT work to Jay Huston, Head of High School and Design Engineering Teacher for leading these makers in this process and to Michele Sumpton, Upper Elementary Teacher, for guiding her students to be an excellent audience.
