Stanbridge Academy's Board of Trustees is responsible for the school's long-range strategic direction, financial health and governance. Trustees develop and oversee annual budgets, review school programs and facilities, and lead fundraising efforts in partnership with the Head of School and school leadership.
The board is composed of current parents, alumni parents and community volunteers, balancing firsthand Stanbridge experience with outside professional expertise. Members bring backgrounds in finance, law, special education, technology, human resources and nonprofit leadership. Trustees serve up to three two-year terms.
Kinga Czegeni, Chairperson

Kinga is the mother of a current Stanbridge student and a Certified Anat Baniel Method Neuromovement practitioner with a master's degree in Special Education. She co-founded The Avalon Academy, a California Department of Education-certified school for children with movement disorders, and served as its Executive Director for 17 years. She has also taught at San Francisco State University.
Ani Varro, Treasurer

Ani held CFO roles at the Palo Alto Jewish Community, Pacific Autism Center for Education and the Hausner School over a career spanning more than three decades in nonprofit finance and administration. She also serves on the PACE board.
Gerald Audant

Gerald is the father of a 2025 Stanbridge graduate and a partner at Fenwick & West LLP, where he advises clients on executive compensation and employee benefits in corporate transactions. He holds a J.D. with honors from George Washington University Law School.
Aaron Ikezawa

Aaron is the father of two sons, including his eldest, Damian, who began attending Stanbridge in the summer of 2024. He brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a background spanning sales and operations leadership, product management, and consulting. Aaron began his career at Wells Fargo Bank, later helped build and launch national sales teams at Capital One, and went on to lead operations at regional financial institutions. He currently consults banks and credit unions with Vericast.
From 2020 to 2023, Aaron served on the Board of Directors for the Neighborhood Child Care Center, where he held the role of Treasurer. He holds a BA in American Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he also competed on the NCAA Slug tennis team. A graduate of Junípero Serra High School, Aaron and his wife, Jennifer, returned to San Mateo in 2023, where they live with their two sons. He is excited to continue to support and contribute to the growth of Stanbridge’s community.
Lynette Mullens

Lynette holds a medical degree and Ph.D. from the University of London and spent years in clinical research and development at GlaxoWellcome. She co-founded The Avalon Academy and currently serves as its board chair.
Syeda Saira Naqvi

Saira is the mother of a 2025 Stanbridge graduate and a senior finance and accounting executive at Alphawave Semi, with more than 15 years of experience across the U.S. and U.K. She is a fellow chartered accountant from ACCA, UK.
Laura Selig

Laura is the parent of a Stanbridge alumna and an HR executive with more than 30 years of experience leading global teams at companies including Visa, Model N and SnapLogic. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Rich Sutton

Rich is the parent of a former Stanbridge student who successfully transitioned to public school and is now at Penn State. He is CTO and co-founder of Theta Lake, with 30 years of experience as an engineering leader in the software industry.
Emily Waldorf

Emily is an independent art advisor and appraiser based in Silicon Valley specializing in modern, postwar, and contemporary art. She is the founder of Emily Waldorf Art Advisory, where she provides advisory and USPAP-compliant appraisal services for private collectors and estates.
Emily holds an MA with Distinction in Fine & Decorative Art & Design from Sotheby’s Institute of Art London, an MA in French from Middlebury College with a specialization in Impressionist and Modern Art, and a BA in History of Art and French Studies from Scripps College. She is a member of the International Society of Appraisers.
Emily brings more than a decade of nonprofit leadership and philanthropic service across educational and healthcare organizations. She served for seven years on the board of Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School, including three years as Chair of Development and two years as Chair of Nominating. She is a past Co-President of Ambassadors for Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, where she served on the board for five years, and is a past Trustee of Scripps College, serving on the Buildings & Grounds and Student Affairs committees. Emily also served on the Development Committee for Stanbridge Academy, currently serves on the philanthropy committee for Children’s Health Council, and has served for the past three years as a class captain for the Annual Fund at Menlo School.
Emily and her husband Greg are the parents of Gigi, a rising sixth grader at Stanbridge Academy, and Belle and Jake, rising ninth and eleventh graders at Menlo School, and share a lively household with their two Bernese Mountain Dogs, Sunny and Rainier.
