Academics

Middle School at Stanbridge is built around a straightforward conviction: neurodivergent learners in grades 6 through 8 deserve rigorous academic instruction and the individualized support to access it. Both are present here, every day.

Instruction is standards-based and differentiated to each student's level. Core teachers, a speech-language pathologist and licensed counselors work as an integrated team, sharing information and coordinating support across the school day. Regular assessments track individual progress and inform how instruction is adjusted. Students learn to set personal and academic goals, recognize their own strengths and challenges and develop the self-advocacy skills they will carry into high school.

Eighth grade is also when Stanbridge's College Counseling and Transitions program begins working with students and families to look ahead, building a post-secondary plan that reflects each student's individual goals and strengths.

Courses Include:

Language Arts, Pre-Algebra and Algebra, Medieval History, United States History, Life Sciences, Physical Science, Physical Education, Visual Art, Music, Digital Citizenship and Social Learning.
